Agility!

Pixel is excited to hear that we are officially "back at it" tonite. Our outdoor agility classes start this week, and we are doubly excited about our Regional Prep class on Tuesday nights. ;)

We have a month to work on contacts, and distance, and things like not cutting behind me on a serpentine. ;)

I would love to hear what you will be doing with contacts....2o2o for the dogwalk? I had to go back to 2o2o from a running with Jimmy as he started flying over the contact zone. And he isn't too thrilled or sure of what to do with the 2o2o....

Ah....the never-ending joy of agility training issues.....

Nothing new or exciting with the contacts. Just proofing, training, and lots of repetition. lol. Pixel has a 2on2off dogwalk- but I spent a year or so just letting her do whatever she wanted so she is still pretty confused at trials and doesn't always offer the correct behaviour. And since we have barely done any agility this year (and it's now May...) we have a lot of work ahead of us if I plan on having contacts for regionals. Her A-Frame is of the "point and pray" variety. She rarely misses that.

She has been doing targeting since she was a pup so we use targets, and backchaining. I have a little board at home, and we will start working on it every day.

Agility training is never ending. It's part of the fun!

We had a great night at class tonite- ran a jumpers from last years nationals. I was pretty pleased with her.
