But knowing that they are happy, and having fun makes the grooming a little less painful. Although Boone is missing a fairly large chunk of hair on his tail now... lol

That's what happens when you stay with me. No clean, princess dogs allowed. :)
An old trick I learned from English Setter people (who learned it from old hunters) - if you have a problem with burrs, take a pair of thick pliers and crunch the burr a few times. The burr will crack and you'll be able to brush out the pieces without losing any coat. :)
