Mistaken Identity

Does this-

Look like this?

I think not. Do you know how many times I've been asked and/or told that Pixel must be one of those Australian dogs....

Not that I have anything against Aussies...(they are one of my favorites) but geesh! She's a little short for an aussie...and the ears and tail don't really go....

Feel your pain!

You been asked if she's an Aussie Basset cross, a Cattle dog cross, or a Heeler cross yet?

When I say Cardigan Corgi, people argue with me! *grin* They're like, "Corgis do not come in that color! That's not a purebred dog!"

... *grin* I just get a big kick out of it, considering that the Cardi is thousands of years older than the Aussie as a breed! ;)

(Besides, Pixel's prettier.)

Geesh! is right....what a bunch of dopes. A cardi, other than the merle markings looks nothing like a Aussie!

TOO FUNNY! I get that about my smooth coated Border collies...they CAN'T be a border collie...goodness :)

I think people think everything merle is an aussie....

I've been told is a Pit Bull, because "Only Pit Bulls come in that color".

One moron asked me what breed he was, when I told her, she firmly stated that no he wasn't, he was a "Basset Hound, Blue Heeler mix". Mmmm kay. So, what's a 'blue heeler', and, where'd the brindle come from? LOL

That's a stretch. I thought it was bad enought that I get asked if Legend is an aussie.

I use to get asked that alot with Miley. It hasnt happened recently. I guess the one breed everyone must know is an Aussie. LOL Diana

That's uneducated people for you. I get asked what kind of dog Kyser is and if he is a Rottweiler. Does a skinny Doberman with a slender head look like a Rottweiler that would have a big fat head and a burly body?
Whatever she breed Pixel gets mistaken for, she's always cute.

OMG, those dogs are practically IDENTICAL TWINS! Don't you SEE it?! If you knew anything about dogs, you'd see that they look ALMOST EXACTLY ALIKE.

I once took a stray dog down to the shelter and told them that it looked so close to a cavalier king charles spaniel that it had to be at least a mix with that breed. They entered it as a "sheltie mix".
