It's early, but I am still thinking of it as a Christmas gift to myself. Or maybe I could say the dogs got it for me?
I've wanted a Manners Minder for a long time. I think it would be super useful in general training, and have some agility/obedience uses also. I ordered it only because we were ordering some other stuff from the company, and it was my chance to get it at a good price. It came yesterday and I am so excited to try it out. Fun!

WhooHoo, Merry Christmas to you! Diana
I made a target stick for $2 and a I throw a piece of kibble in a bowl with the same effect .... LOL
kidding.
I wonder how long it will take one of your dogs to chew the red ball off??
Was there a puppy in that box hiding somewhere?? Let me know.
hey- the target stick thingy is an extra, it's more about the machine. :o) and SO not the same affect as a thrown piece of kibble. as you know, my aim sucks.
oh, and i just looked through the booklet- there is a whole section on teaching stay. maybe there is hope for wicca after all! (joking)
no puppy- although the dog on the box is cute...
ooh i love my manners minder! i've used it for a bunch of stuff from teaching vito to be quiet in a crate to Lance's running contacts.
I've got the equivalent device (and the target thingie too) and have found many uses for it. I have another agility friend who swears by it; used it to teach her over-reactive dog how to relax in his crate at the trial, using her remote control.
