Take nothing for granted.

Can you ever love a dog too much?
Because I really love this dog.
Like completely, and utterly.
I will be crushed without her.
She has longevity in her genes though, so fingers crossed I've got a good long time with her.
Regardless, every night I tell her how wonderful she is.
And hold her close (even if she doesn't want to).
I want to appreciate, and remember everything about her.
It's sucks that they age so quickly.
It doesn't seem fair really.
So, Take nothing for granted.
And Enjoy every moment.

We are all squeezing our old guys a little tighter tonight <3 I worry everyday with my Ava, I have no idea what I am going to do without her...

Yes, I have loved a dog like that and when she passed, she left a huge hole in my heart which has been filled by Maid.

Hugs to your beloved

You scared me with your title! My heart skipped a beat reading it! I don't think you can love them too much, but being human means looking ahead and that can be scary. Dogs are lucky in that respect....always in the moment.

It's murder to see the age in their eyes and faces. You're doing the right thing...for you, for her.
Your title scared me to death!
I was afraid....oh, never mind.
Give her a hug from a corgi mama.

I have the same feeling about my Cardi boy. He's 8. I force myself not to think of a future without him and try so hard instead to stay in the 'now' with him. That's all he knows and he's happy with it. I wish I were more like him.
