Focus.

Well. On Friday Regionals will officially start. Hard to believe. As part of the host club I've been working behind the scenes for months. Tonite, and tomorrow will be spent getting all the final stuff done. Tonite- bag stuffing, tomorrow set-up. Thankfully we have some SUPER people in our group and things have been well organised, and the event should go off without a hitch. We hope.

And then I can focus on my dog.

I had my last little bit of practice last night, and this morning. Last night we ran a standard from the Ontario regionals. It was pretty rough. Like OH MY GOD I can't believe that we are going to run a regional event in three days and you are acting like this. That bad. The second run was MUCH improved.

This morning we had a news crew come out so I got to do a bit with Wicca. She was a star, and I'll post a link to the clip when it comes out tomorrow.

Friday is warm up games, and two steeplechase runs. It will be good to get the crazies out before the official runs. Saturday we start with Jumpers. Sunday we start with Standard. I really, really wish we could have started with the Gamble on Saturday. But that's the way it goes I guess!

I hope to improve my score from last year (I'll have to look it up, I can't remember what it was)but mostly I hope to have at least ONE run that feels perfect. That me and my dog are on the right path, and are working together. Those are the runs I love, and if we could have even one I would be a happy girl. I also would like to get one, if not both Gambles. We can do it. If I don't rush. Think. Breathe.

No matter what the outcome of the weekend is, I am, and always will be very proud of my little dog. She gives her all, and if I can do my job have way decent we'll do just fine.
