In case you missed it on facebook...

in case you missed my status this morning I thought I'd share my morning with all here aswell...

warning, it is gross.

seriously...don't say I didn't warn you...

i woke up at 4:30 to the sound of retching.
switched on the light and bolted out of bed just barely missing the huge pile of diarrhea on the floor.
rush all the dogs outside, again somehow managing to miss the other pile of diarrhea on the floor.
leave dogs outside and go back to survey the damage.
diarrhea everywhere
three piles of vomit that looks suspiciously like diarrhea.

yeah.

so I assume that someone (now I believe it was Boone) had diarrhea
and then someone ate it...(Pixel)
and then that someone vomited it all up...(Pixel)

I cleaned up the mess and brought the dogs back in - barricaded in kitchen so I could watch to see who was doing what.

pixel starts retching immediately.
boone starts retching shortly after, and then has explosive diarrhea...

save Vito and Wicca from the horror of the $hit all over the place and start cleaning up mess. put sick dogs back outside.

bring Boone in for a bath, while I am doing that I hear the telltale sound of a dog jumping off the kitchen table. Wicca comes into the bathroom on three legs whimpering. Sigh.

Pixel has since stopped vomiting and is back to her normal chipper self. Boone has had a half assed bath and is still a little on the ill side...I suspect that he ate some frozen, rotten apples from the yard yesterday...which caused the tummy issues. Pixel has no excuse. She is just yucky.

No one got breakfast, and I hauled everyone to work with me so I can keep an eye on things...nothing worse than coming home to a crate filled with diarrhea and a $hit covered dog...oh wait, yes there is.

hopefully my day gets better.

oh, and wicca seems to be fine after her leap from the kitchen table....

You know, I hate to say this, but I laughed out loud because I had to deal with the same thing about a month ago. We figured out ours was due to the eating a of a glass Christmas ornament, chocolate, and a whole COOKED chicken bone (he actually didn't chew it, just swallowed it). Fun, right? I am actually surprised he didn't die!

Kind of crazy how the vomit noises can stir me from sleep, but rarely anything else will.

And yeah, I have one that eats poo too and then she burps and it smells like fart. It's just lovely.

Remind me again, why is it we have dogs??? Glad everyone is on the road to recovery at least. Bummer of a morning.

Definitely NOT a good start to your day and bloody early too! I have to confess it gave me a few chuckles (except Wicca's limp) as I've been there before myself! Hope all the pups are back to normal asap!

Oh, I hate mornings like that. And the first time I had a poop-vomit episode, I decided that vomit clean up is bad, but cleaning up poop-vomit is almost unbearable. Yuk! Hope the day gets better, and SOON!

Amazing how the sound of retching can yank you out of a sound sleep. Hope everyone feels better by the end of the day - including you!

What I want to know is how you managed to summarize that in a facebook status! Hope everyone is doing better.

Ah, waking up to diarrhea everywhere, been there. It's the worst.
At least the vomit wasn't on your bed - we recently had to get a new comforter because Lizzie threw up (what we guess was a dead squirrel) on the comforter and the smell refused to come out despite multiple washes and lots of Febreze.
If these dogs weren't so dang great they would be worth it! :)

Have you ever noticed that the sound of a dog retching can make you bolt up, wide awake, out of the deepest sleep! Maybe there should be an alarm with that sound!

I have to amdit I laughed till I cried when I read your post - I have been there. I, unfortunatly, have a house full of poop eaters. Nothing stops them short of standing with the poop scoop and snagging it as it come out. Mine fight over who gets the frozen turds. Of course they have to throw it up in the house. Nothing nastier than recycled poop Yuck. Your day has to get better.

What a $hitty way to start your day :o

I hope the rest of the day was better and the pups are all recovering well.

I've got a dog who occasionally vomits poop, too, and I agree that there's almost nothing more foul than that. One of the worst nights of my life: It was my 45th birthday, recently separated, sold the house I loved, alone in a crappy rental with the roof leaking, Jake with horrific diarrhea over what seemed like every inch of carpet, me on my hands and knees for hours at 2 in the morning trying to clean it up, bawling the whole way. A year later I discovered this gadget and I've had one on hand ever since, it has been SO helpful in those poop vomit incidents: Bissell Spot Lifter (I use it without the brush). Every dog owner should own one!

What a way to start the day! The best part about hitting rock bottom is that you know it can only get better. Makes Roxy's little session last week seem minor
